“Pushing the Limits”
by Katie McGarry

What I thought...

“So wrong for each other …and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.”

LOVE guys, seriously. Noah is probably the best bad boy I have ever read. I was drawn into Echo’s life. Her parents, geez do I hate them. Her father was probably one of the most infuriating people I have ever read about.

Their romance kinda just, popped, but I honestly didn’t mind that. The protective nature of Noah, coupled with the fact that he didn’t turn away from her scars. *swoon* Okay, now let me get back to this.

The writing was amazing. I loved the differing POVs between Echo and Noah. I enjoyed that he wasn’t trying to pressure her into anything, besides being with him towards the end (not really a spoiler, you guys can guess this!) but it was extremely relateable. I have friends that have gone through similar things (not really like Echo, but definitely like Noah) and it seemed very real to me. These could be friends of mine while I was in high school.

Echo and Noah’s friends were wonderful! I loved Isaiah and Lila. They really brought that sense of connection that I needed from the characters.

Amazing overall.
